Even more economic efficiency

Visit us/Fuhrlaender at the BWEA31, held in Liverpool, England on October 20-22 2009.

A portion of all profits earned on each turbine installation is donated to a charitable project with an environmentally-friendly focus.

The new 2,5-MW turbine with variable speeds sets benchmarks: due to the possible rotor blade sizes of 80, 90 and 100 m it can be harmonized with all locations and wind conditions in the best possible way. Tubular towers of 65, 85 and 100 m as well as lattice towers of up to 160 m create the prerequisite for a high economic efficiency and reliability as to the production of wind power. Thanks to the high hub heights inland locations, e.g. in woodlands, can also be developed even more economically. The innovative driving conception with the large roller bearing, the shaft coupling and the compact gear unit provides for more safety and a longer life. The same applies to the especially designed hub with its closed operating room. Thanks to the crane concept permitting the replacement of all main components without an expensive truck-mounted crane the mounting and operating cost can be reduced.

The compact turbine for all situations
Fuhrländer expanded its megawatt class by a compact, pitch controlled turbine: the FL 1500. The turbine adapts to coastal and interior locations due to its different hub heights and two different rotor sizes. Its individual blade adjustment via maintenance-free AC-motors and the integrated free running provide high operational safety. The intelligent torque control ensures a constantly high release of power to the long live, double-fed three phase generator.

A concept sets standards
The field-proven concept of the FL MD 70/77 with individual blade adjustment and double-fed asynchronous generator as well as its large rotor stands side by side with the 2 MW-class. Rotors with 70 and 77 m diameters and different tower heights up to more than 100 m allow the optimum adaptation to each location. Robust machine construction in combination with the latest control technology and experienced engineering set standards in this class in terms of profitability and reliability. Therefore, more and more investors are enthusiastic about the FL MD 70/77, which Fuhrländer already exported to countries such as Portugal, Hungary and Japan, also in a 60-Hz version.

The turbine for international locations
The FL 1250 is based on the tried-and-tested Fuhrländer FL 1000 concept. It achieves a nominal output of 1.25 MW with its huge 62 m rotor. As a robust stall-regulated unit, it uses its asynchronous generator to provide high technical availability, operational reliability and grid compatibility - especially important in remote areas. The FL 1250 underlines its international character with compatibility for both 50 Hz and 60 Hz grids. The modern plug and play concept enables simple installation on site. This powerful megawatt turbine is available in the hub heights of 50, 70, and 85 m, and in steel tower or lattice towers. Lightning protection systems, dust encapsulation, air conditioning, corrosion protection, etc. meet the requirements for use in extreme conditions as well. In addition, the compact turbine can be erected with smaller cranes.

The compact medium class
Fuhrländer adds a compact, pitch regulated turbine to its medium class with the FL 600 - originally designed by Pfleiderer Wind Energy. The single blade adjustment via maintenance-free AC motors and the integrated free-running provide high operating safety. Gear, plummer block and rotor shaft create a compact and reliable unit. The intelligent torque regulation provides a sustained high output performance of the long-life, double driven three-phase alternator.

The basic turbine for universal use
For years, Fuhrländer's FL 250 has proven in inland and coastal location that wind turbines of the medium class continue to be of commercial use. Install, connect, let it run - these are the experiences of many operators of this machine designed with a life of 25 years which produces reliable power in many countries far beyond Germany and Europe from the USA to Japan. In addition to its robustness, the compatibility of this centrally controlled turbine is trendsetting for local users: The FL 250 supplies islands in the Pacific in combination with a Diesel engine, produces self-sufficient power for companies in structurally weak regions and strengthens local power grids. The FL 250 proves its stability in particular in typhoon regions.

The robust start-up turbine
At the end of the 80s, Fuhrländer redefined the term „quality“ with the FL 100: Since then, this wind turbine has been operating with the highest reliability even in extreme conditions. We have maintained this turbine concept up to the megawatt class. It is designed for a life of ca. 25 years. The speciality of the FL 100, for example, is the supply of self-sufficient living units or the use in extreme conditions in typhoon regions. As an example of the use of wind power, it supplies e.g. an environmental institute in a Czech cloister and provides power to the electric stacker fleet of an international shipping agent.

The small turbine with the highest reliability
Since the start of wind power use, the FL 30 has proven that Fuhrländer concepts fit up to today. This centrally controlled compact turbine with blade tip brake runs totally uncomplicated on its slim lattice mast in various urban and rural locations. It has a technologically simple design and generates kilowatt after kilowatt of clean wind power - maintenance-free and discrete. This machine is also suitable for remote locations without demands for the electricity network or the infrastructure - mainly in the market outside Europe.
